Second Life is looking for a few good avatars. It's a brilliant campaign geared at showing that avatars are real people. If you have an avatar in Second Life, consider joining in. It's fun! I recently gave an interview to the Digital Nation project at PBS about becoming my avatar. PBS asked me to submit comments and participate in an ongoing discussion on the subject.
